Manmadan Ambu Release skips Diwali session

CHENNAI: It looks like Tamil film fans will be disappointed for this Diwali as their favourite actors’ films aren’t likely to hit screens on the day.

First it was Vijay’s ‘Kaavalan’ that got postponed to December due to delayed shooting schedules.

Although the filming of ‘Manmadan Ambu’ is running on schedule, the film’s post-production works would take more than couple of months to be completed.

As of now, the release of only a few films has been confirmed for Diwali. This includes Prabhu Deva’s directorial venture ‘Engeyum Kaadhal’. The film features Jeyam Ravi and Hansika Motwani in lead roles with Harris Jayaraj scoring music.

The other film will be the multi-starrer ‘Vaanam’. Directed by Krish, the film is a remake of Telugu movie ‘Vedam’. Silambarasan, Bharath, Anushka, Prakash Raj, Sneha Ullal, Sonia Agarwal and others star in it.

Pushkar-Gayathri’s ‘Va- Quarter Cutting’ is likely to join the bandwagon of Diwali releases. This will be an unconventional comedy-thriller.
AGS Entertainment Kalpathi S Agoram is the producer and the audio launch is slated for Sunday, October 3 at Sathyam Cinemas. The film is likely to release for Diwali 2010.
